About Us

Meet Our Family

Perfect Peace Goldens is the fulfillment of a dream. We have been fortunate to be mentored by several wonderful, long time breeders who continue to guide us in our endeavors. Our dogs are an important part of our family’s life, just as we had hoped. Our numbers are small, yet the quality is great. We only plan for two or three litters a year to give us the opportunity to fully evaluate, socialize and house raise all of our puppies.

We are located near Britton, South Dakota – 50 miles west of Minnesota and 25 miles south of North Dakota. Because of our location we do offer shipping out of Minneapolis, Minnesota or Fargo, South Dakota. We do prefer that our new owners fly out to get their new pup, however. Most new owners use their frequent flier miles and are able to get a direct flight into Minneapolis or Fargo. Pups can then go on board the plane as carry-on baggage.

We are members of our local all breed club, as well as English Golden Retrievers of North America and English Goldens of the UK. We have two dogs involved in Therapy work and several that are currently in conformation.

All we have and all we do, we attribute to God for helping us be where we are today. Without his leading we would not have these precious gifts (our Goldens, our family, and friends).

Read what we strive for in our family, as well as in our work with Goldens, below:

After this manner therefore pray ye: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.” – Matthew 6:9-13

“I cannot say ‘Our’ if I live only for myself. I cannot say ‘Father’ if I do not endeavor each day to act like his child. I cannot say ‘who art in heaven’ if I’m laying up no treasure there. I cannot say ‘hallowed be thy name’ if I am not striving for holiness. I cannot say ‘thy kingdom come‘ if I’m not seeking to hasten the blessed hope. I cannot say ‘thy will be done’ if I am disobedient to his word (commandments). I cannot say ‘on earth as it is in heaven’ if I’ll not serve him here and now. I cannot say ‘give us this day our daily bread’ if I am selfishly hoarding for the future. I cannot say ‘forgive us our debts’ if I harbor a grudge against anyone. I cannot say ‘lead us not into temptation’ if I deliberately place myself in its path. I cannot say ‘deliver us from evil’ if I do not long for holiness. I cannot say ‘thine is the kingdom’ if I do not give Jesus the throne of my heart. I cannot attribute to him ‘the power’ if I fear what men may do. I cannot ascribe to him ‘the glory’ if I’m seeking for my own honor. I cannot say ‘forever’ if I’m living only for temporary earthly rewards.”

Credits / Mentors

  1. First and foremost we give our credit to our Creator. We can learn so much from the golden, mainly that we humans should recognize the godly example that a loving/forgiving golden brings. If people were more like goldens, our world would be a better place.
  2. I want to give special credit to Diane Roman of Syzygy Golden Retrievers. She has been my inspiration and an overwhelming amount of help during my beginning years – and now, beyond!
  3. And of course, I can’t forget my many friends in the breed: Cheri Lundgreen of Desdia Goldens (who has been my daily Golden chat person – where we share everything from goldens to family), Joanne Cava from Tanglewood Goldens (who has always been there for advice, counsel, and giving), Cindi Williams from Wyndance Goldens (who has been wonderful to get to know, as she lived in the same state as me), and Jo Gardner from Golden Reflection Kennel (who I just recently got the pleasure to meet – but have worked with for some time).
